Our mission is to proffer a medium for the disadvantaged to gain access to adequate food supply, hygiene, security and empowerment opportunities in an attempt to foster peaceful coexistence and sustainable livelihood.
Our goal is to ensure that members of each family have access to three square meals each day, and are adequately catered for in the areas of sanitation and hygiene.
If all able-bodied individuals in every home are gainfully employed, the level of hunger will be drastically reduced, thereby paving the way for good standard of living across boards.
Research and innovations are key factors to unraveling the paraphernalia for engendering adequate care for the disadvantaged, and for fashioning a healthier community.
Nutrition and hygiene are two sides of the same coin that work hand in hand. We are committed to proper monitoring of food distribution with provision of health and hygiene services that are commensurate with the food supply.
National preference for oil revenues over agricultural investment constitutes a major threat to the due attention which food security deserves.
In an era where the whole world is now a global village, several children in Nigeria are hungry. They include school age children (many who are even out of school), sucklings who are malnourished, orphans and children of the down-trodden in the society.
Though Nigeria has a youthful population, many of the youths are not living the life of their dreams. The same applies to many women who have been sidelined in a partiarchal society.
Upliftment Against Hunger Initiative Nigeria (UAHIN) is committed to eradicating hunger and poverty by being actively involved in food provision, nourishment, hygiene advocacy, social security; as well as equipping the willing and able-bodied individuals with entrepreneurial skills through various capacity building programmes that are identified as options that can eradicate hunger and poverty in Nigeria.
We raise funds from donors whose interests align with our NGO's stance on societal issues. We utilize the funds for specified needs in a transparent manner with efforts to ensure that all parties interests are protected within applicable laws.
We enlist volunteers whose career goals align with our mission and vision. Our recruitment process is open with no discrimination against anyone.
